Events Description
To kick things off in appropriate style Teatro Live! has chosen to do something fresh and brand new. The first offering of the new 2023-2024 Season will be a concert – a musical exploration of what it means to travel- to distant locations, across decades and centuries, and into our very own hearts.
The program is eclectic and wide-ranging, with contributions from Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein, Richard Rodgers, Jacques Brel, Noel Coward, and Petula Clark! And many more! It’s a sparkling evening of non-stop discovery and adventure, with more music than a musical!
Far Away and Long A-Gogo features a trio of singers who are all longtime members of the Teatro ensemble: Kendra Connor, Andrea House, and Farren Timoteo, with musical direction by another Teatro veteran, Cathy Derkach, who also leads the three piece band. Resident Teatro playwright Stewart Lemoine curates and arranges the playlist, with visuals conjured by Belinda Cornish, and cruise direction is by the enterprising Rachel Rudd.
