Edmonton
Events Description
Few film composers are as famous as the stars themselves; Hans Zimmer is one. His hugely influential status grows with each new blockbuster. From Interstellar and Dune to Driving Miss Daisy and The Dark Knight, Zimmer has created moving and powerful sound worlds that are unforgettable. Join Hollywood conductor Richard Kaufman when – for the first time – the Edmonton Symphony plays an entire evening of Zimmer’s film music.
If you think his music sounds great on soundtracks, just wait till you hear it live in the Winspear Centre! You’ll experience deep, booming brass that you can feel in your stomach; hypnotic percussive grooves; exotic synthesizers; and strains of world music and rock’n’roll.
