Hate Crime – Beyond the Report

This month, Spill the T is taking on a conversation that may not be easy — but we believe it is an important one to have.

Joining us is a Constable with the EPS Hate Crimes Unit who is also a member of the queer community, Landon Turlock with the City of Edmonton along with Table Talkers Stephen (Organization for Prevention of Violence) and Jay (Stop Hate AB). Together, we’ll talk about hate crimes, available resources, and what we can do to keep ourselves and those around us safe.

A note to our community: We recognize that having a member of EPS present may be difficult or uncomfortable for some. We respect those experiences. This presenter is participating to connect with and hear from the community, not to work. Our goal isn’t for everyone to agree — it’s to create space to listen, ask questions, learn from one another, and hopefully begin building some bridges.

🏳️‍🌈 Come as you are. Bring your questions and your willingness to listen.
