OEG Sports & Entertainment and West Coast Amusements announced today that the first annual ICE District Carnival is coming to Fan Park @ ICE District. Featuring over 25 of the most popular rides, the ICE District Carnival will be the largest midways ever hosted in Downtown Edmonton.
In addition to rides, attendees can also enjoy all their favorite carnival games from shooting hoops, throwing darts, popping balloons, water gun racing and more and win prizes like a life-sized giant teddy bear. This family event will also feature a wide variety of food and beverage options, including tasty midway treats such as mini donuts, fresh dipped corn dogs, caramel and candy apples and both adult and non-alcoholic beverage options.
The ICE District Carnival Midway will offer everything from the slow and easy to the twisty, high and crazy. The adrenaline pumping on the SPEED, this incredible ride is 118ft tall and reaches 3.5 g’s at a top speed of 70 mph. The absolute tummy dropping ROCKSTAR, the must-ride VERTIGO 100ft swing-tower and the #1 most popular ride in Canada, the ZIPPER. For the thrill-seekers in training, we have a variety of family rides like the Gondola Wheel, Bumper Cars, Tilt-A-Whirl, Carousel, Himalaya and so many more. Younger children can enjoy the Tractors, Berry Go Round, Fun Slide, Dragon Wagon Rollercoaster and so many more. We have something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
The complete list of rides for the ICE District Carnival include: Wacky Shack, Haunted Mansion, Hog Chopper, Monster Trucks, Gondola Wheel, Zipper, Bumper Cars, Vertigo, Alien Abduction, Cliffhanger, Himalaya, Frenzy, Rockstar, Speed, Dragon Wagon, Charlie Chopper, Tractors, Bulgy the Whale, Peter Paul Dragons, Berry Go Round, Spring Ride, Carousel, Hurricane, Fun Slide, Tilt-A-Whirl and Mardi Gras Funhouse.
Prior to opening at Fan Park @ ICE District, the entire inventory of rides has been inspected and certified by the Province of Alberta and the Alberta Elevating Devices & Amusement Rides Safety Association. Equipment is also inspected daily by certified ride supervisors.

$35 Ride All Day Passes go on sale Wednesday, May 29 at 10:00 AM at ticketmaster.ca. Passes increase to $45 on June 6.
