Join the Mill Creek Colliery Band on Mother’s Day weekend! May 10th marks the end of their 2024 – 2025 season, and they are sending it off with a celebration of moms with a modern take on their traditional salute to the Proms. Make sure to join them and bring mom along!
Regular priced tickets will be available at the door.
Due to the volume of colliery bands, hearing protection for younger children is recommended.
The Mill Creek Colliery Band (MCCB) seeks to promote the British brass band tradition in Western Canada, employing all the traditional instruments of that ensemble. The name of the band pays homage to the historical connection between 19th century working class northern England, and the brass bands which flourished during that time. The name also refers to a prominent ravine area in Edmonton, itself the site of important coal mining activity in the early days.
