Polynesian Days (Poly Days) is an annual family event that, for four decades, has continually drawn over 6,000 people every August long weekend to the community of Alberta Beach.

The August long weekend each year is full of fun, family-oriented activites. S

Poly Days is organized by the Alberta Beach and District Agricultural Society.

Friday, August 4

5 pm Food Trucks at Gazebo Park & around the village all weekend.

6 pm Lions Club 50/50 raffle tickets can be purchased all weekend. 6 pm Scavenger Hunt & Colouring Contest begin.

 

 

Saturday, August 5

8 am ABADASA Slowpitch Tournament begins

8:30-11 am 50+ Club Ham & Egger Breakfast, Senior’s Heritage Center.

10 am-4 pm Book & DVD Sale, Alberta Beach Library; Value Village Fundraiser used item drop-off.

11 am Parade Assemblage, Agliplex. Judging at noon.

11 am-5 pm Village of Alberta Beach presents Kid’s Park, Gazebo Park. Featuring balloon animals, bouncy castles, & more! Sponsored by Alberta Beach. Only $5 to play all day!

12-5 pm Alberta Beach Museum, Heritage Village open.

1 pm PARADE! Parade Marshal: Bud Love. Sponsored by the Alberta

Beach Farmer’s Market.

After the Parade: Onoway Regional Fire Service (Northwest Fire & Rescue) Spray & Play, Boat Launch Park.

2 pm Heritage Village Hula-Hoop Contest, Alberta Beach Museum.

3 pm Meat Draw, Jeddy’s Bar & Grill.

4 pm SANG presents Hula Dancing by the Pacific Island Dance Troop at Gazebo Park. Sponsored by Ste Anne Natural Gas Coop.

11 pm Alberta Beach Lion’s Club and Village of Alberta Beach present Fireworks at the Boatlaunch.

 

Sunday, August 6

9-11:30 am 50+ Club Pancake Breakfast, Senior’s Heritage Center.

11:30-3 pm Farmer’s Market! Agliplex, operated by The Ag Society.

12-4 pm Book & DVD Sale, Alberta Beach Library; Value Village Fundraiser used item drop-off.

12-5 pm Alberta Beach Museum, Heritage Village open.

2 pm Heritage Village Family Sports Day, Alberta Beach Museum 2-4 pm Sidewalk Chalk Drawing Contest, Beachwave Park.

3 pm Meat Draw, Jungles Bar & Grill.
