Events Description

Legend has it that divine beings came from the heavens to bestow a splendid civilization upon humankind, laying the foundation for China’s rich culture inspired by their wisdom and virtue. Shen Yun’s works reflect this spiritual heritage…

Shen Yun invites you on a voyage through time and space to visit the fascinating world of ancient China. Experience a divinely inspired culture through the incredible art of classical Chinese dance, and see myths and legends come to life. Shen Yun makes this possible by pushing the boundaries of the performing arts, with a unique blend of immersive backdrops, ingenious choreography, exquisite costumes, and a live orchestra that captures the essence of both East and West.

Be prepared for a world-class theatrical journey that will take your breath away!

A Heritage Once Lost

Presenting the traditional culture of China in all its authenticity, Shen Yun offers a performance that cannot be seen anywhere else—not even in China. There, the ruling communist regime has for decades tried to erase the Middle Kingdom’s artistic and spiritual heritage, viewing it as a threat to its own ideology.

But in 2006, a group of elite Chinese artists came together in New York with a vision: to revive the best of China’s 5,000 years of traditional culture and share it with the world. They drew courage and inspiration from their practice of Falun Dafa—a practice for the mind, body, and spirit based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. The company’s repertoire includes important works shedding light on the plight of people like them in communist China today.

After over a decade of performing around the globe to full houses and enthusiastic audiences everywhere, Shen Yun has brought a great civilization back from the brink of extinction.
