Events Description
Witness history come alive as Alberta’s Ukrainian community celebrates its pioneer roots as well as all things Ukrainian in the province today. An afternoon concert featuring the best in Ukrainian dance and music takes place at this annual event co-hosted with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council. Other family fun includes a visit to the historical village, children’s activities, village market and the Ukrainian Village Food Festival.
This year marks the 34th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence with the theme:
“Rooted in Legacy, Growing in Freedom”
Experience a day full of:
– Live performances by Ukrainian dance and music ensembles
– Cultural showcases and community exhibits
– A powerful gathering of unity and support for Ukraine
This annual event is typically co-hosted with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress–Alberta Provincial Council (UCC-APC) at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village. However, due to our season opening delay due to a fire, UCC-APC will be hosting this year’s Ukrainian Day at a new location.
