Events Description
On November 11, we pause in remembrance of the more than 118,000 Canadians who have died serving our country and the more than two million Canadians who have served, and continue to serve in times of war, conflict, and peace.
Join us as we welcome poet Dorothy Lowrie, daughter of George Aitken AFC, as she remembers her father’s service. Aitken served as a fighter pilot in the RCAF during the Second World War. Hear poems written by both father and daughter and view some of Aitken’s personal objects that are now part of our Military and Government History collection.
