Auchmar estate is considered the last surviving country estate on Hamilton mountain. It was built for the Honourable Isaac Buchanan, a local Scotsman, entrepreneur, politician and civic leader in 19th century Canada. Enjoy this rare opportunity to tour this mid-century gothic revival manor and the walled and landscaped grounds that surround it. Guides will lead participants through the house, sharing stories about the architecture as well as the people who lived and worked at the estate. Join us as we unpack the surprising history of this Hamilton landmark!
