The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival

The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival (GOCF), is thrilled to announce the first wave of headliners and comedy stars, set to bring laughter to London next summer. Joining the widely popular outdoor festival’s stellar lineup for 2024 is a strong contingent of today’s hottest comedians, including Bill Burr, an Emmy and Grammy-nominated comedian, actor and podcaster named one of Rolling Stone’s ‘50 Best Stand-Up Comics Of All Time’, along with Grammy-nominated comedian Nate Bargatze, who made his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live in October and Canadian Gerry Dee, a comedian, director, producer, writer and host of Family Feud Canada!

Celebrating its fourth consecutive year, the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival (GOCF) announced in early November that it is doubling down on the laughter and good times by multiplying their eclectic comedy and entertainment festival from four cities to eight across North America in 2024, naming London as an expansion site. Delivering a one-of-a-kind experience since 2021, the festival known for its extensive and varied lineup is also committed to creating a festival environment in which everyone feels welcomed. GOCF, produced by Trixstar LIVE, has raised and donated over $350,000 to local charities across Canada to date while they continue to strive towards creating a diverse, inclusive and safe experience that celebrates and features all forms of performance comedy, from local emerging acts to superstars. The festival pledges to continually evolve their robust green event practices year over year, making certain that they leave nothing but laughter in their wake, while also improving accessibility efforts to ensure everyone has access to the same festival experience.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 19 – NATE BARGATZE, GERRY DEE & DERRICK STROUP

Hailed as “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up,” by The Atlantic Magazine and a “Rising Star,” by CBS Morning, 2021 Grammy nominated comedian, podcaster, director and producer Nate Bargatze is selling out shows around the world. Joining Nate is Gerry Dee, known for starring and co-producing hit comedy series “Mr.D” and hosting “Family Feud Canada”, and not your average slow talking Southerner Derrick Stroup.

SATURDAY, JULY 20 – TOM SEGURA: COME TOGETHER WITH BOBBY LEE & JESSICA KIRSON

Actor/Comedian/Writer Tom Segura is one of the biggest names in the comedy business. He recently toured the world with over 300 shows on his I’M COMING EVERYWHERE WORLD TOUR and is getting ready to bring his highly-anticipated new hour of comedy to over 40 cities with the first leg of the COME TOGETHER tour kicking of December 30th in Honolulu, HI.

Segura is best known for his Netflix specials Ball Hog (2020), Disgraceful (2018), Mostly Stories (2016), and Completely Normal (2014). His fifth Netflix special Sledgehammer released July 4, 2023 and debuted at #1 on the streamer. In July 2022, Segura released his New York Times Bestselling book I’D LIKE TO PLAY ALONE, PLEASE to wide praise with Forbes calling it “laugh out loud funny.” Paste Magazine described him as, “…having a natural and capable storytelling ability, one that lifts his narratives out of average anecdote fare and plants them firmly in hilarious ground.” Your Mom’s House Studios is home to his hit podcasts Your Mom’s House which he co-hosts with his wife, comedian Christina Pazsitzky, 2 Bears 1 Cave which he co-hosts with Bert Kreischer, and many more podcasts that draw millions of listeners each week. Additionally, YMH Studios was one of the first networks to create wildly successful Livestream Podcast Events as an outcome of the pandemic.

Joining Tom Segura for an unforgettable night of comedy will be Bobby Lee and Jessica Kirson. Bobby Lee is best known as a cast member on MAD TV and his hit podcasts TIGER BELLY and BAD FRIENDS. A true embodiment of the term ‘multi-hyphenate’, his reach extends into the worlds of TV, Film, Stand-Up, Podcasting and more. Jessica Kirson is a powerhouse on stage. She’s a hilariously relatable performer of sheer silliness, vulnerability, and ridiculous characters. In an era where only 10% of all touring comedians are female, she stands out as one of the strongest comedians, regardless of gender.

SUNDAY, JULY 21 – BILL BURR LIVE

An Emmy and Grammy Award nominee, Bill Burr is a singular voice of his generation, defining his own path as a world-renown comedian, director/writer/producer/star of a #1 film on Netflix, critically-acclaimed dramatic and comedic actor, writer, producer, and a genre-defining podcaster for over 15 years. In October, Bill’s film, Old Dads, which he directed, co-wrote and stars in, premiered as the most-watched film on Netflix in its first and second week of release. Host of the groundbreaking Monday Morning Podcast, Bill is touring arenas and theaters with his Bill Burr Live tour, in 2023 he was the first comedian to perform at the 5,000-seat ancient Roman amphitheater, The Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens, Greece, and in 2022 he made history as the first comedian to perform at Fenway Park. His 2022 Netflix special, Bill Burr: Live At Red, shot at the legendary venue, further stakes his role as one of the most versatile talents of his time.

PHONE FREE EXPERIENCE – JULY 21 :
Bill Burr’s performance on July 21st will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones, smart watches and accessories will not be permitted on the festival grounds during that time. Upon arrival at the event you will be given a Yondr pouch. If you have a General Admission ticket you will be required to secure and lock your phone, smart watch and accessories in the pouch upon entry. If you have a VIP Reserved ticket, you will be instructed when to place your phone, smart watch and accessories in the pouch and lock it. This process will be monitored by security and event staff. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times, guests can access their devices during this period only in the designated Phone Use Area within the grounds. Event staff will unlock your Yondr pouch as you exit the grounds. Anyone seen using a device (phone, smart watch or accessories) during the performance will be escorted out of the grounds by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free experience.
