Join Eldon House Historical Interpreter, Rebecca Ricciardi-Ladola, for an evening lecture delving into the notorious London serial killer of the 1800s, Dr. Cream! Ricciardi will guide guests down the theoretical back allies of early London life to learn about the crime, the motives, the victims, and early forensic investigation. Discussion will also focus on true crime biography “The Case of the Murderous Dr. Cream: The Hunt for a Victorian Era Serial Killer” by author Dean Jobb.
At the end of the lecture, having learned about the latest 1800 forensic methodology, guests will try their hand as solving a fictional Victorian poisoning in which the audience, in smaller groups, are given the chance to work through a case using clues, suspect profiles, and forensic evidence.
