All teams & community groups are invited to join us for the 9th annual Wildwood Dragon Boat Challenge on Saturday, May 23! This one day event is about community FUN, exercise and some friendly competition.
The ultimate team sport, a Dragon Boat team consists of 20 paddlers, a drummer and a steersperson. Working together as a team is paramount to success.
Get a your team together, have some fun while supporting the Thames River Paddling Club & Andrew’s Legacy. Our event partner, Andrew’s Legacy, is a non-profit charity dedicated to placing AEDs in public spaces and raising awareness about life-saving CPR in memory of Andrew Stoddart.
Here’s how your teams can get involved:
Pledge Collection: Download the pledge form and start reaching out to friends, family & coworkers to collect pledges in support of Andrew’s Legacy. Every contribution, big or small, helps make a difference.
Spread the Word: Share information about Andrew’s Legacy and our pledge drive on social media.
Andrew’s Legacy will be with us on race day providing volunteers, games and AED demonstrations! 100% of pledges raised will go towards the donation and education of additional AEDs in our local community. To date they have donated over 70 AEDs to communities in Ontario.
