Niagara Falls
Events Description
What started out as an audio mix tape has grown into a multi-disciplinary, immersive and thought-provoking theatre experience completely based on the work of artists from the Niagara region. Enter the bold world of Freedom: A Mixtape — Live and Unplugged where artists fearlessly confront societal norms with unfiltered stories, songs, and spoken word.
Led by b current Performing Arts, Freedom’s ensemble of actors, poets, rappers, and a DJ breathes life into this community conversation about joy, ancestral healing and generational trauma. The piece also dives into topics of police brutality, the complexities of Black identity, and the human right to be free.
