Events Description
Animal helpers played an important role in rural life during the 1920s and 30s. Learn about the heritage breed farm animals who spend their summer at Cumberland Heritage Village Museum, including horses, pigs, chickens, geese, ducks and more. Explore how animals continue to help with important jobs and tasks today with our special guests: Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue, Wilhaven Ridge Alpacas, Prettiest Petal Farms and more. Bonus: Participate in a hands-on demonstration of large-scale model locomotives with the Ottawa Valley Live Steamers and Model Engineers between 10:30 am and 3 pm.
