Join Ottawa-based pianist Carson Becke for the second installment of his newly launched Brahms Expedition series. In this chapter, Becke celebrates Oktoberfest in grand style, continuing the expedition with an autumnal program for violin, viola, and piano. Performed in collaboration with distinguished artists including National Arts Centre Principal Second Violinist Emily Kruspe and Chamberfest Artistic Director Carissa Klopoushak, they will perform Brahms’s lyrical Violin Sonata No. 2, fiery Viola Sonata in F Minor, and more.
Presented in partnership with Ottawa Chamberfest, this multi-concert exploration of the gorgeous sonata repertoire of Johannes Brahms is just beginning. With more instalments of The Brahms Expedition still to come, audiences are invited to join Becke as the adventure unfolds.
