Yasmina Reza’s hilarious, no holds barred play chips away at our veneers of politeness and exposes what’s really underneath. A playground altercation between eleven year old boys which results in some broken teeth brings together the two sets of parents to discuss rationally and amicably how to deal with the boys. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the night wears on and drinks are imbibed, the polite veneer breaks down, tensions emerge, alliances form and reform and everyone’s gloves come off.
