Events Description
On Sunday, October 4, some of Canada’s most exciting culinary talent will gather at Oliver Farms in Napanee, Ontario, for the second edition of Les Grands Brunch — an immersive gathering celebrating exceptional Canadian ingredients, culinary craft, the art of hospitality, and the diversity that shapes Canada’s food culture today. This year’s roster reflects that spirit directly: Jewish culinary tradition represented by David Schwartz of Linny’s, Arab tradition by Moeen Abuzaid of Arbequina, and Indigenous cuisine by both Leah Marshall Hannon of Stella’s Eatery and Zach Keeshig of Naagan, alongside a lineup of award-winning chefs and culinary voices from across the country.
Curated by Gold & Fife, the event brings together:
- David Schwartz (Linny’s) — a 2025 Canada’s 100 Best “Best New Restaurants” honouree and MICHELIN Guide-listed Toronto steakhouse
- Moeen Abuzaid (Arbequina) — winner of Canada’s 100 Best 2025 People’s Choice Award and a MICHELIN Guide-listed restaurant
- Leah Marshall Hannon (Stella’s Eatery) — Prince Edward County farm-to-table chef and former National Arts Centre resident chef
Zach Keeshig (Naagan) — chef of Canada’s only Indigenous restaurant named to Canada’s 100 Best in both 2025 and 2026, and to TIME’s World’s Greatest Places 2026 - Joanne Yolles — celebrated pastry chef of Scaramouche and Pangaea fame
- Jean Aubry — one of Quebec’s leading wine authorities and columnists
- Amy Rosen — acclaimed culinary writer, 2026 Toronto mayoral candidate, and Master of Ceremonies for the day
Rounding out the experience are daytime cocktails by Cry Baby Gallery, zero-proof libations and a made-to-order espresso bar.
A FARM ROOTED IN LEGACY
This year’s Les Grands Brunch carries special resonance. Oliver Farms owner Mark Oliver is celebrating his family’s Canadian farming legacy in honour of his father, John Oliver, 88 — a 2013 inductee into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame recognized for helping establish canola as the world-renowned, made-in-Canada crop it is today, and for championing Canadian flax on the world stage. Hosted on a multi-generational working farm with family roots dating to 1792, in Napanee — kissing the edge of Prince Edward County — the event unfolds over four hours of experiential dining as chefs, producers and guests gather around the table to celebrate seasonality, Canadian sourcing, cultural diversity, and the connection between food, family and land.
