Orchidae is the experimental-pop project of Yolande Laroche, a Franco-Taiwanese Canadian artist based in Gatineau, Quebec. Soft, hypnotic melodies intertwine with minimal yet meaningful arrangements. The music reflects on a hyphenated identity and themes of alienation. In concert, Yolande is joined by Pascal Huot (guitar) and Nick Schofield (synthesizer). She is currently recording a full length album set to release in 2022.
