Brewer Park, 100 Brewer Way, Ottawa

Events Description

The House of Paint Festival is an annual FREE Outdoor HipHop Jam that showcases Graffiti, Breakdancing, Dj’s and MC’s from across Canada.

This annual Ottawa event, which happens under the Dunbar bridge hosts at one of the cities only legal graffiti art walls. This event brings artists of all urban expressions together to share their craft and collaborate with other arts. We celebrate Canada’s Hip Hop community, while giving artists a wicked platform to express themselves.

Three days of poets, rappers, MCs, DJs, graf writers, mural artists, street dancers and more! This year’s festival puts extra emphasis on elevating the many talented artists and creatives that make up the House of PainT community. We’re stepping up with feature showcases and masterclasses, open ciphers and new collaborations, challenging conversations and all-out celebrations. Don’t sleep- see you under the bridge.

This year’s festival brings back some classic House of Paint goodness like the graffiti wall at our Main Event in Brewer Park and the Arts Market, brought to us by Obscura Creative. We’re also introducing some brand new collabs and partnerships, like our Main Stage with music powered by SmallWorldLIVE! The folks at SmallworldLIVE are bringing us a triple bill of headliners:

Plus we have our dance events, featuring the SNIPES Battle Of The Year, where breakers are competing for the chance to represent Canada at BOTY in France!

It’s not just the mainstage though– we have some fantastic programming in our Seeds Tent, plus Sunday’s Knowledge Conference and of course the OG500, Canada’s largest spoken word invitational!

Plus, it wouldn’t be House of Paint without at least one afterparty…so we’ve got TWO for ya.
