There will be tons of family friendly activities going on in Wascana Park on Canada Day this year. Canada Day festivities include a pancake breakfast sponsored by Provincial Capital Commission, Family Fun Zone by the Regina Public Library, Mainstage events and Fireworks!

RCCA Red Leaves Performing Arts Group, from 12:15pm to 12:45pm
RCCA Red Leaves Performing Arts Group promotes Chinese traditional arts and culture, providing children to adults with an opportunity to experience Chinese cultural dancing, musical instruments, and group celebration activities.

Métis Stars, from 1:00pm to 1:30pm
A fun-filled opportunity to view the Métis culture through the art of dance: Western Region III, Métis Nation-Saskatchewan proudly presents the Métis Stars. This group of 7-12 year old children have only been together for 5 months and they love to showcase traditional Métis jigging and square dancing.

Storytelling Tuo Duo, from 1:45pm to 2:15pm
Rhonda Donais is a dynamic performer who has been sharing her stories and songs with children for over 30 years. She is joined by Matt Totten on vocals and guitar. Together, they will be telling silly, interactive animal stories through original songs and traditional stories.

Afro Dance Team, from 2:30pm to 3:00pm
Afro-Mentorship Initiative is a program that aims to support African and Caribbean children and youth. The program offers culturally responsive activities such as art, music, drama, dance, and university enrichment, matched with university mentors and community leaders.

Mr. Mark, from 3:15pm to 3:45pm
Mr. Mark is an energetic performer who has created wild and wonderful music for children since 2002. Dance and sing along with him as he plays the guitar, drum and washboard.

Tavria Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensemble, from 4:00pm to 4:30pm
The Tavria Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensemble enjoys promoting and sharing their culture to all audiences. Proud to be one of the largest and longest running Ukrainian dance schools in Regina, they’ve provided entertainment to people in Southern Saskatchewan and beyond for over 45 years.

Sitruc James, from 4:45pm to 5:15pm
Sitruc James has been fascinated by magic ever since he was a child and successfully learned to perform his first trick. Be prepared to be astounded as you experience his mesmerizing magic tricks and illusions.

Classic Strongman Championship League
Its BACK Strongman fans! – Returning to Wascana Park in Regina for the 10th year in a row!

This year, the quality is even higher! The format is a true national championship- The official 105kg (232lb) Canada’s Strongest Man!

The Light Heavyweight weight class is STACKED with exceptional talent in Canada, and we very excited to bring the very BEST 14 athletes from 6 provinces to the Queen City as part of Regina Canada Day!
