Events Description
Oblong and Oboe speaks to the resilience and humour needed to survive, rebuild, and (most importantly) reimagine
Written and Presented by the Oblong & Oboe Collective
The 5th Show of the Live Five 20th Season
Oblong and Oboe are royals who’ve been raised to really, really love tradition. But, unbeknownst to these red-nosed rule-followers, the Rabble is getting rowdy and rousing the masses.
You are invited to join the revolution in this highly interactive physical comedy that puts an innovative twist on a classic comedy form.
Oblong and Oboe is a red-nose clown duo dedicated to creating meaningful, socially engaged, and zany performances. We believe that clowning can speak simultaneously to society and the individual heart – and be a whole lot of fun in the process! The red nose isn’t just for kids – it’s for all of us.
Our (non-clown) world is experiencing upheaval on a massive scale. The work of Oblong and Oboe speaks to that – and to the resilience and humour needed to survive, rebuild, and (most importantly) reimagine. Oblong and Oboe have performed at events in Saskatchewan and Ontario as well as at the Play the Fool Festival in Edmonton.
