Saskatoon
Events Description
Sammy Lee Folkersen returns to Saskatoon after 3 months on the road in the USA for a very special Boxing Day edition of Tuesday at the Capitol. This event is not your average Tuesday night shindig. As the former host of the legendary Capitol Open Stage for more than 3 years, Sammy definitely knows how to throw a Tuesday night party. With his all-star band of heavy hitting locals, special guests, and even members of his own family- this is one holiday season event you do not want to miss out on.
** This is a ticketed event and NOT an open stage- however, special guest musicians will be featured throughout the night. More announcements and details about the event will be available leading up to the day. Sammy Lee Folkersen is a guitarist and singer-songwriter hailing from Saskatoon, SK. Best known as a member of Saskatchewan based band “Bombargo”, Sammy Lee has spent his fair share of time on stages across Canada and the USA.
With the release of his own self-titled EP and countless shows in Saskatchewan and beyond, Sammy Lee has proven to be a musical force of his own. His influence is rooted deeply in the blues and music of the 60/70s- although it seems sometimes that there are no stipulations when it comes to the music that he creates and plays. Whether he is playing bass on a North American tour, or entertaining crowds with his immense skills as a blues guitarist, this young multi-instrumentalist brings a certain vintage- style of energy to any stage he finds himself on.
