The Gerard Weber Group will play an evening of compositions focused on the music of jazz guitarist Pat Metheny, as well as original works for jazz quintet.
With extensive training as a concert saxophonist and performer, Weber contributes a refreshing, polished sound to the jazz quintet setting as he and his bandmates explore the soundscape of electronic effects. The group features Diogo Peixoto (guitar), Paul Suchan (keyboards), Adam Streisel (trumpet), Nevin Buehler (bass), and Brett Graham (drums and vibraphone).
The Marion Graham Jazz Band, under the direction of Sarah Suchan, will play the opening set.
