Art holds stories, and the intricately crafted ceramic majolica tiles lining the streets of Taiwan are no exception. Professor and Architect Kenji Horigome traces the historical trajectories of the ceramic tiles from Islamic culture, to European countries like Portugal, where maritime trade to cultures like Japan eventually made its way to Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
