Toronto’s beloved music festival and summer mainstay, the Beaches International Jazz Festival, returns to celebrate its 31st year of unparalleled music from both established and emerging artists. Featuring multiple stages and venues, the return of festival favourites and leading musical talent, the 31st annual Beaches International Jazz Festival is one that can’t be missed.

Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside

We kick off the festival with the Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside Main Stage and Block Party featuring performances from over 40 bands at the Jimmie Simpson Park Main Stage, as well as various locations along Queen St E (between Logan and Broadview Avenues).

The Block Party will feature performers at a number of street corner and park locations along Queen Street East between Broadview and Booth avenues.

The Beaches Jazz Latin Carnival

The Beaches Jazz Latin Carnival will return to Woodbine Park for its fourth year to showcase the lively melodies of salsa, merengue and cumbia.

 

TD Woodbine Park Series

An eagerly-awaited lineup of performances will take over Woodbine Park from Friday July 19 – Sunday July 21 at the TD Main Stage, and at the OLG Main Stage from Friday July 26 – Sunday July 28. Performances will showcase an array of recognized and up-and-coming artists.

Friday, July 19 | 7 p.m. onwards: Tribute to Studio One: Reggae Got Soul, Funk Frequency.

Saturday, July 20 | 1 p.m. onwards: Discovery Through The Arts, Long Range Hustle, Crack of Dawn, Altin Gun, Stephen Lewis, The Big Band of Fun, DA CRUZ.

Sunday, July 21 | 12:30 p.m. onwards: Discovery Through The Arts, Rob Tardik, Angelique Francis, After Funk.

A Capella Stage

July 19 | 5:30 p.m onwards: Waterfront Singing Ambassadors, Planting Pearl

July 20 | 1 p.m onwards: Dammien Alexander, Beatsync, The Ault Sisters, Pressgang Mutiny.

July 21 | 1 p.m onwards: The Watch, Countermeasure, Retrocity, Ro Randall.

StreetFest

Crowd-pleaser and festival mainstay, StreetFest returns with over 100 artists and a drool-worthy line-up of gourmet food trucks from Thursday July 25 – Saturday July 27 on Queen Street East between Woodbine and Beech Avenues. Calypso, new age, jazz, R&B, fusion, Latin, blues and Cajun melodies, paired with unbeatable culinary offerings will ignite senses and entertain festival- goers. More than 45 bands will be taking part and performance times are staggered to maximize listening pleasure for the thousands of visitors who flock to the street each evening.

OLG Woodbine Park Series

Performances will showcase an array of recognized and up-and-coming artists on the Main Stage and Big Band Stage in Woodbine Park.

July 27 | 1 p.m. onwards: Discovery Through the Arts.; Sam Polley and The Old Tomorrows, Kayla Diamond, Pepper, Lazo, Legends of Motown.

July 28 | noon onwards: The Rhythm Express, Ryan Langdon, Miss Emily, Larnell Lewis

July 26 | 3 to 6 p.m.: The Advocats Big Band

July 27 | 12 p.m. onwards: Swing Toronto Free Dance Lesson and Demo , The Ted Blackbourn Big Band Project, Swing Shift Big Band, The Wintergarten Orchestra

July 28 | noon onwards: Swing Toronto Free Dance Lesson and Demo, The Jimmy Stahl Big Band, The Jazz Mechanics

Admission is FREE for 4 weeks of entertainment in The Beach.

Road Closure:

From Woodbine to Beech avenues, Queen Street East will be closed to traffic and more than 40 locations will be hosting bands and performers each evening from 6 to 11 p.m from July 26 to 27.
