Events Description
Danu will be playing host to Tiger Lightning’s first exhibition, “A Collection of Photographs”.
Tiger Lightning, AKA Sam White, is a British-Born, Toronto/Tkaronto-based artist.
Though he has spent most of his artistic life in the world of music, photography has been a constant medium of expression for him, and he remains connected to visual art through his family, many of whom are also active in the field.
The exhibition features a collection of his 35mm film prints, documenting the recent years of his life. The subject matter is varied – landscapes, the everyday, architecture, animal life – but all contain a deep, personal meaning for Sam. He very much invites the audience to discover what these pieces mean to them, to develop their own themes and share them with each other.
So come along to the opening night on the 9th February, to see these pieces first-hand and chat to Sam in person. Limited amounts of prints will be available to buy on the night and until the end the exhibition.
