Events Description
Rolling for Lakeshore Grounds: A D&D Playtest & Creator’s Fair is a Capstone Project by the D8s Archive group of Arts Administration and Cultural Management 2023-2024 cohort in Humber College. A Capstone Project is a self-directed student-led project included in the program.
The event is mainly playing Dungeons & Dragons aka D&D/DnD, a fantasy tabletop role-playing game that centers around the theme of Teacher’s College, an old building located in Humber College that will be demolished. Using the Teacher’s College as our base concept for our D&D modules with the support from the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretative Centre.
We sent out a call for submissions for D&D creators and artists to create D&D elements like one-shot modules, characters, maps, etc. and we will be testing them out by playing them in the event. Aside from our D&D tables, there will be board games with which in-person attendees can play. Trivia questions will be asked throughout the event and successfully answering them will grant you prizes to be claimed at the end of the event!
There will also be food trucks for available food options outside of the venue.
