Events Description
A VIBRANT IMAGE OF KURDISH MUSICAL THEMES UNDER THE MYSTERIOUS POWER OF WINTER WILL BE REVERBERATED ON SHAHRIYAR JAMSHIDI’S SOLO KAMĀNCHA AND VOCAL PERFORMANCE.
If you are enthusiastic about listening to the pure tastes of diverse musical ethnicities from West Asia, especially Greater Kurdistan, rather than the mainstream musical themes, melodies and languages of Persian and Turkish, this unique Kurdish Kamanche and vocal recital is for you! You can immerse yourself in the beauty of Kurdish traditional music and leave the melodies and rhythms to transport you to the mesmerizing feeling of being in the mountains of Kurdistan, which are covered with Oaks and Pistachio trees.
The Kurdish-Canadian, kamānche player, composer, vocalist and award winner, Shahriyar Jamshidi will be performing improvisation pieces, his compositions and epic Kurdish vocal songs on his Kamānche and singing those lyrical tunes.
