About the Leathertown Festival
The first Acton BIA Festival started back in 1977 as ACTON DAYS. The community gathered, commercial activity in the downtown increased, and funds were raised to refurbish the Town Hall. ACTON DAYS was not always celebrated annually, so we cannot make the claim 0f 48 years of celebrations. In 1991 the event evolved into what is known today as the annual Leathertown Festival.
