Events Description
Join Alicia Elliott, author of And Then She Fell—a National Bestseller and Indigenous Voices Award winner—for a discussion of her powerful novel. The story follows Alice, a young Mohawk woman whose seemingly perfect life unravels as she confronts inherited trauma, self-doubt, and the challenges of motherhood, exploring themes of Native life, mental health, and identity.
The By the Lake Book Club hosts six Tuesday-night events from February to December, featuring top Canadian authors. Each in-person event includes readings, discussions, Q&A, book signings, and ASL interpretation. Virtual events are subtitled live and provide online viewing and audio.
