Stories to Light Up Winter – Bilingual Family Sunday
This imaginative bilingual Free Family Sunday will illuminate the shadows of mid-winter with warming tales and adventurous puppets. Featuring a shadow theatre performance and puppetry workshop by Valise Theatre from Montreal and art-inspired storytelling sessions, this day offers a cheerful respite from winter gloom in English and French.
French Family Moments: Maria Chapdelaine
Art Activities and Workshops from 11:30 am to 3 pm
French-speaking art lovers and families are invited to join us for Francophone programming that will explore the themes and scenes in Clarence Gagnon’s illustrations created for the 1933 edition of Maria Chapdelaine, the famed romance novel by Louis Hémon. This special programming offers French speakers a rare opportunity to delve into this delicate collection of 54 artworks, which are infrequently displayed due to conservation requirements.
