This holiday season, families from across the region are invited to step into Oshawa Centre’s Gingerbread Village, a new interactive, family experience in support of Lakeridge Health Foundation’s, Our Cancer Campaign.
This December, Oshawa Centre will be transformed into an interactive gingerbread village featuring 3D gingerbread houses, giant candy canes, cookie decorating workshops and various other seasonal attractions. The event also offers delightful photo opportunities that will capture the magic of the moment forever. Each $10 ticket includes a hands-on cookie decorating workshop, a specially designed tote bag, and a selection of delightful treats to savour and enjoy.
In the true spirit of giving, all proceeds from the Gingerbread Village pop-up will be donated to Lakeridge Health Foundation’s Our Cancer Campaign, an initiative raising $20 million to advance cancer care in Durham Region and beyond. This year all donations from individuals, community groups and organizations like the Oshawa Centre will be matched! Thanks to two generous local families led by Paul Mackie Sr. and Beth Kelly, donations made to cancer care between Oct. 21 and December 31 will be doubled up to $500,000.
Additional Holiday Programs at Oshawa Centre
• Santa’s Snowy Valley – Santa and his dazzling polar bears are back this year! Santa’s Snowy Valley will be open to the public beginning Thursday, November 23rd at 10 a.m.
• Gift Wrapping in Support of Hearth Place – The volunteer-run gift-wrapping kiosk will open on Friday, December 1st. Christmas wrapping at the Oshawa Centre is an annual event for Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre to raise awareness and funding for their organization. The kiosk accepts cash donations.
