Events Description

Travel back in time and learn about the history of the land at Crawford Lake Conservation Area long before settlers arrived through this small group tour of a 15th century reconstructed Longhouse Village. Explore the longhouses and village gardens and try your hand at traditional fire starting before heading to Crawford Lake. You may have seen this beautiful lake before, but did you know that Conservation Halton’s favourite lake is full of secrets? We’ll unravel the mysteries buried in the depths of this rare, meromictic lake and learn about the plants and animals that call it home as well as why the international scientific community is paying attention to this amazing body of water!

(Guests are reminded to bring masks, which will need to be worn indoors and when physical distancing is a challenge.)
