Sometimes called The Funky Side of Jazz, it’s main proponents were Herbie Hancock, Bobby Timmins and Ramsey Lewis, to name a few. Backed by Steve Heathcote on drums, Steve Lucas on bass, and featuring the fantastic voice of Robyn Black. Everything from Burt Bacharach, to The Beatles, to Gene Harris.
