Events Description
Just in time for the holidays, Toronto residents of all ages are welcome to join Metro and Dixon Hall for a FREE, senior-led cooking class, aimed at fostering connection through the power of food!
With research showing that basic cooking know-how is the worst amongst younger generations, Metro’s Toronto-based cooking demo provides a platform for local senior: Georgia Nayyar of Dixon Hall, to shine as she passes the baton to the next generation and teaches them to cook brand-new dishes in time for the holidays. The class will pair several seniors from Dixon Hall with community members of varying ages and skill levels to cook together, culminating in a shared, sit-down meal that encourages intergenerational friendships.
Metro’s Toronto-based Feed the Joy class will teach participants the following recipes:
Greek Chicken
Quinoa Salad
Yogurt with Honey
