Events Description
Join MOCA in welcoming contemporary dance artist Jasmine Liaw, for a site-specific performance in dialogue with Tishan Hsu’s, “Interface Remix”. The performance, titled “skin maps,” investigates the topography of kinaesthetic response, interweaving paralinguistic communication pathways within a multi-channel soundscape. Composed by mapping the terrain of Hsu’s work, Liaw creates a multi-sensory language of sound and movement. Embodying shifts linking human and technological landscapes, skin maps unravels, wrings, and fragments visceral temporalities of in-betweenness.
This performance is part of MOCA’s Free Friday Nights. Free tickets can be obtained ahead of time or at the door. Book in advance to reserve your spot!
