Join for Canada Day Celebrations in Pickering!

Daytime events by City of Pickering and Community Group partners will be hosting a wide selection of activities and games throughout the park, fire truck on site and experiential fun for all ages.

  • Bubble fun, activities, crafts, carnival games, and prizes.
  • SuperDogs Show
  • Girl Pow-R, WonderPhil Magician , Kick up a Fuss Cloggers, Pickering Caribbean Canadian Cultural Association performance, Covello-Canada ABC Reading and character drawing, Lexy The Rap Dad, Tamil Association, Denise Lester Dance School
  • Roaming performers and special guests will be throughout the park including a Sparkle & Shine Hula Hoops, facepainting, superheroes and princesses!
  • Mini-putt, paddle boats, sports challenge, fish fling, duck pond, can smash, troll toss re just some of the fun games to play.
  • Bring your skateboard and “Skate the Esplanade”! Ramp2Rail onsite, mobile skate park, live DJ & music, Giant Pong, Bubble Soccer, games, and prizes!
  • Bingo with prizes, games & giveaways

Continue Pickering’s celebration of Canada Day at Kinsmen Park.

Enjoy live music on the big stage, food trucks, fireworks, and lots of fun for all ages. Be sure to get to Kinsmen before 7:00 pm for an early-bird raffle at the Destination Pickering tent in the lawn. Accessible bus shuttles to Kinsmen Park from Pickering GO Station and Ontario Power Generation parking lots (777 Brock Road with overflow at 889 Brock Road) begin at 5:30 pm and return shuttles resume shortly after the firework show.

Temporary Road Closures – Canada Day – Esplanade Park

Thursday, June 30, 2022 – 7:00 am to Monday, July 4, 7:00 am

The following closures will occur for the daytime Canada Day activities:

The Esplanade South – will be closed from Valley Farm Road to the outbound driveway of the Pickering Civic Complex parking lot, Friday, June 30 at 7:00 am to Saturday, July 1 at 9:00 pm

The Esplanade North – will be closed from Valley Farm Road to the Pickering Civic Complex underground parking ramp, Friday, June 30 at 7:00 am to Sunday, July 2 at 11:00 am

Valley Farm Road – will be closed from The Esplanade North to The Esplanade South/Diefenbaker Court, Saturday, July 1 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Pickering Civic Complex Parking Lot (East Half) – will be closed, accessible parking only will be allowed during the event, Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 7:00 am to Sunday, July 2 at 11:00 am
