Events Description
Following its acclaimed premiere at Club SAW in Ottawa, Ghost Rooster Collective is launching a Canada-wide tour of Dreamscapes—a genre-defying experimental film directed by Rachel Gray. The tour invites audiences nationwide to experience bold, disability-led storytelling. Blending surreal imagery, embodied movement, and layered sound design, the 13-minute film offers an intimate exploration of mental health, alternate realities, and the ongoing process of healing—anchored in the lived experience of artist Amelia Rose Griffin.
Dreamscapes is a short, experimental film that mixes real stories with dream-like visuals, sound, and movement. It’s based on a heartfelt interview with Amelia Rose Griffin, who shares what it’s like to live with a changing mental state. The film helps viewers feel what she feels through shifting scenes, layered sounds, and expressive dance. Instead of looking at disability through a medical lens, Dreamscapes shows a more personal and emotional side of mental health, inviting us into Amelia’s world and way of seeing things.
