Events Description
Join debut author Nina Dunic as she discusses her novel The Clarion, winner of the 2024 Trillium Book Award. This haunting exploration of intimacy, belonging, and self-discovery follows siblings Peter and Stasi as they navigate love, loss, and unfulfilled potential. In a series of moody, sensual scenes, Dunic explores how we seek meaning in life—whether through art, career, or relationships—and the existential weight of feeling adrift.
By the Lake Book Club offers six Tuesday-night events, between February and December featuring leading Canadian authors in conversation with Humber Polytechnics alumni. Each in-person event includes a reading, discussion, audience Q&A, book-signing and American sign language interpretation.
