Events Description

🎬 Feel the RIDDIM at TPAFF 2025! 🎶
The 3rd Annual Toronto Pan Afrikan Film Festival (TPAFF) returns in 2025 with a bold new theme: “RIDDIM.” This year, we turn the spotlight on the heartbeat of our stories — music. From soul-stirring documentaries on iconic Black artists to narrative films where rhythm moves the plot, RIDDIM explores how music shapes, drives, and elevates Black storytelling around the globe.

📅 Mark your calendar: Sunday, August 17
We’re closing out the festival with our most anticipated event — The African Diaspora Film & Media Brunch — and this year, it’s next level.

For the first time in Toronto, we welcome Mr. Phillip Scott, founder of the African Diaspora News Channel. With over 2 million global followers, Phillip has built a media empire from the ground up. He’ll open the floor with a powerful keynote on the realities of building independent Black media in the digital age — and what it takes to stay unapologetically true to our stories.

💬 Expect thought-provoking panel discussions with Toronto’s top Black filmmakers, content creators, and media professionals — all sharing the mic, the insight, and the love for our community’s voice in media.

🥂 What’s brunch without a little flavor?
We’re serving up delicious food, mimosas, and unforgettable moments — plus a short film screening, fashion show, and vibes that scream Black & Beautiful.

📍Acqua Supper Club is the place to be.
Come dressed to impress and ready to connect with the culture.
