Events Description
Witness a moving display that honours the brave souls who fought for our freedom, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Nightly between 6 pm and 11 pm from November 5 to 11, the historic west façade of Old City Hall will come alive each evening with a powerful visual tribute to those who served and the history of the Toronto Cenotaph.
The display features images from the City of Toronto Archives and the names of local heroes immortalized in the Golden Book of Remembrance — each representing a life given in the service of peace.
This year, Toronto marks two significant milestones: the 80 years since the end of the Second World War and the 100th anniversary of the Toronto Cenotaph at Old City Hall.
Projection by AVA Animation and Visual Arts Funded in part by Veterans Affairs Canada.
