Events Description
UNIVOX CHOIR is proud to present their winter musical offering “Goodness Matters”. The evening will include choral works representing goodness throughout the world – from Bulgarian folk tradition celebrating unions (Kaval Sviri and Dilmano, Dilbero), to celebrations of idealism through texts by Langston Hughes set to music by Rosephanye Powell (To Sit and Dream and I Dream a World).
The evening will also feature Ola Gjeilo’s Dreamweaver – a seven movement piece detailing the Norwegian visionary poem Draumkvedet, where protagonist Olav Åsteson encourages others to seek charity and compassion after falling asleep and dreaming for 12 days beginning on Christmas Eve.
