Events Description
Join us for a weekend of music, art, storytelling, and community at the UpFRONT Festival of Indigenous Arts, Music and Culture!
Experience free outdoor concerts, family-friendly activities, an artisan marketplace, live mural creation, Indigenous authors, and more as Berczy Park, Scott Street, and St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts come alive with Indigenous creativity from across Toronto and Turtle Island.
Catch performances by Drezus, Crystal Shawanda, Tom Wilson Tehohàhake Trio, REI, Electric Religious, Adrian Sutherland, Quique Escamilla, Lacey Hill, Mâmawin’towin, Don Amero, Semiah, Mimi O’Bonsawin, Zeegwon Shilling, Rabbit & Bear Paws, DJ Jay Mak, and Tribal Vision Dance across two outdoor stages. Families can enjoy dedicated children’s programming, including a Rabbit & Bear Paws puppet show and the return of storytime with the Toronto Public Library, while visitors of all ages can browse the Indigenous artisan marketplace and discover unique works by creators from across Turtle Island.
Throughout the weekend, watch Indigenous street artists transform the exterior of St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts into a vibrant open-air gallery and gather for intimate kitchen table talks with Indigenous authors.
Whether you’re discovering a new artist, shopping the marketplace, bringing the family, or dancing under the summer sky, UpFRONT is a celebration of Indigenous arts, music, culture, and community—and everyone is welcome.
