Events Description
Sensual and severe, sarcastic and spiritual, WE’RE LATE! creates a theatrical context for classical music in the 21st Century.
Join The Happenstancers for WE’RE LATE!, a playful and conceptual exploration of time, interpreted and performed by some of Canada’s most adventurous artists.
Featuring soprano Elizabeth Polese and Music Director of the Edmonton Opera Simon Rivard, The Happenstancers bring their latest programme WE’RE LATE! to Toronto on September 30th at 7:30 pm, at Redeemer Lutheran Church (1691 Bloor Street West). WE’RE LATE! creates a contemporary frame for Olivier Messaien’s iconic Quartet for the End of Time.
Additional music by Lukas Foss, Anna Korsun, Toshi Ichiyanagi, John Cage, and Elliot Carter. For more information, please visit werelate.eventbrite.com
