Events Description
Join Zhang Ling for a discussion of Where Waters Meet, a deeply moving novel about family, loss, and self-discovery. When Phoenix Yuan-Whyller’s mother, Rain, passes away, Phoenix uncovers hidden fragments of her mother’s past—leading her on a journey to China. Across continents and decades, the novel explores courage, survival, and the secrets that shape our lives. Don’t miss this powerful exploration of resilience and the bonds that define us.
By the Lake Book Club offers six Tuesday-night events, between February and December featuring leading Canadian authors in conversation with Humber Polytechnics alumni. Each in-person event includes a reading, discussion, audience Q&A, book-signing and American sign language interpretation.
