Women From Space Festival

The Women from Space Festival’s directive is to celebrate and create a space for women during International Women’s Day weekend.

Women From Space returns with more engrossing exploratory music. It features: Lina Allemano’s Bloop. Mali Obomsawin (co-presented by the Music Gallery) Matana Roberts (with Germaine Liu & Nicole Rampersaud), Val Jeanty (AKA Val-Inc) alongside dancer Nickeshia Garrick (co-presented by Toronto Dance Theatre). The festival’s in-house large ensemble BIG BANG! also returns, paying tribute to Björk with arrangements Jessica Ackerley, Mingjia Chen, Lieke Van Der Voort, Madeleine Ertel, Nicole Rampersaud, and Heather Saumer.
