Events Description
The Dance Centre’s popular Discover Dance! noon series features works by Calle Verde (comprising Maria Avila, Michelle Harding, and Peter Mole) and Jhoely Triana Flamenco.
Calle Verde’s La Faena is loosely based on a bullfight and addresses being able to alter the trajectory of a narrative that seems inevitable. Triana’s solo Arboles (Trees) represents honouring our roots and gathering strength from the past to reach new heights.
This performance showcases flamenco’s technical brilliance and emotional power, with heart-stirring live music and singing.
