It’s guaranteed there will be something for everyone: works by emerging artists, mid-career artists, and mature artists coming from the local, national, and international dance communities; people flying around in trees, architectural costumes, new works, old works, intimate works, and works bound to make you fall in love with dance!
Artists from across Canada, and around the globe will dance on stages and in the streets during the ten-day festival, in full length and mixed bill programs, as well as site-specific works. The 31st annual Dancing on the Edge Festival will bring dance in all shapes and forms to Vancouver audiences.
This year’s lineup includes; Vancouver’s Ziyian Kwan, Tara Cheyenne Performance, Rachel Meyer, MascallDance, Kirsten Wicklund, Alejandra Miranda and Juan Villegas, Mahaila Patterson-O’Brien, Meredith Kalaman, Helen Walkley, WAREHAUS dance collective, Sujit Vaidya, Tomoyo Yamada, Jennifer McLeish-Lewis, Isabelle Kirouac & Nayana Fielkov, Soleful Dance/Alexandra Clancy, Shelley Cox, and Starr Muranko|Raven Spirit Dance, Paulo Lima/Experimentus Cia. De Danca-Ceara (Brazil), Dab Dance Project (Korea), Danse Carpe Diem/Emmanuel Jouthe (Montreal), Nasim Lootij & Kiasa Nazeran/Vâtchik Danse (Montreal), Linnea Swan (Calgary), Pamela Tzeng (Calgary), and Jolene Bailie/Gearshifting Performance Works (Winnipeg).
