Camp Descriptions:
Week 1: Journey Down the River – July 6-10 and August 4-7
• Join an unforgettable journey from the mountains to the ocean! Campers travel the length of the Fraser River through games and hand-on activities, from the Rocky Mountains to the estuary. Along the way, we’ll uncover stories about the land, its history, and why the Fraser River is so important!
PLEASE NOTE: Due to BC Day, Journey Down the River will run for 4 days from August 4 to 7: $230 for members, $255 for non-members. Additional discounts still apply.
Week 2: River Engineers – July 13-17 and August 10-14
• The river is always brimming with activity! Take a closer look at how people, plants, and animals shape the river and its ecosystems. Through hands-on building challenges, we’ll design the ideal river that balances both habitat and human needs!
Week 3: Survival on the Fraser – July 20-24 and August 17-21
• Put your survival skills to the test in fun survival-themed challenges across different river habitats. Campers explore how animals, plants, and people survive and thrive along the Fraser River. Through games and hands-on activities, we’ll discover how living things adapt to their environment and navigate changing conditions throughout the year!
Week 4: River Investigators – July 27-31 and August 24-28
• Calling all young scientists and problem-solvers! Become river detectives as we investigate the health of the Fraser River. Using real scientific tools and techniques, we’ll test the water quality, identify aquatic creatures, and uncover what these clues reveal about the river’s ecosystem!
